The New Public School is the creation of this noble lady who nurtured a dream of starting an educational institution. This dream turned into a reality when she opened. The New Public School in a rented building in H. No.2061, Sector 15, Chandigarh with only thirty students on its rolls. Master Nawab Singh was the first student to be admitted in the School. At the initial stage, it was no smooth sailing and there were quite many hurdles at every step. The Founder Principal S.H. Singh with her immense  for titude and courage weathered every storm that confronted her and continued with her mission relentlessly. It was only after a few months since its inception, that the School had to be shifted to H.No.44, Sector 18-A. The School continued to run from the above rented premises for some more months and once again had to be shifted to another rented building in H.No. 599, Sector 18-B, Chandigarh. Here also the School could not sustain for a longer duration and once again. The New Public School which was still in its formative stage had to be moved to another rented building in House No. 130,Sector 18-A, in the year 1962.
